A new kind of entertainment, made possible by a feature called the BONUSVIEW (Final Standard Profile). Unique to Blu-ray, the BONUSVIEW (Final Standard Profile) adds new feature such as Picture-in-Picture and Audio Mixing. As you watch a movie, for example, the director can appear in a small window and give you the inside scoop on what's happening. DMP-BD30 is the first Blu-ray Disc™ player to support the BONUSVIEW (Final Standard Profile).

We have given the DMP-BD30 a host of original image-enhancing technologies created by Panasonic. We started with the PHD image processor, then went a step further by adding Deep Color compatibility, with 4,096 steps of gradation that provide even smoother, finer-quality images. The DMP-BD30 also provides 1080/24p playback, so you can enjoy the same 24-fps (frames per second) reproduction as the original movie. And the sound is simply sensational, thanks to Dolby^® TrueHD and DTS™-HD bitstream output. Altogether, the high-fidelity video and lifelike audio of the DMP-BD30 deliver the kind of excitement and emotional impact you generally experience only in a movie theater.

The SD Memory Card slot on the DMP-BD30 makes it easy to link your camcorder or digital still camera by simply inserting an SD Memory Card with the data that you have recorded. The DMP-BD30 also supports VIERA Link™, which lets you operate interconnected Panasonic AV equipment with the single remote control of your Panasonic flat-panel TV.

Design was also a key priority in the development of the DMP-BD30. Both the thickness and depth have been reduced in comparison with our previous models (the DMP-BD10 and DMP-BD10A), to blend harmoniously with flat-panel TVs and modern living room interiors.
