The SA-BX500 is provided with ample terminals, including 3 HDMI input terminals, 1 front AV input terminal and 5 AV input terminals. This makes it possible to use the SA-BX500 as the core of a home theater system and connect a variety of AV devices to it.
By simply connecting a single HDMI cable between devices, Full-HD video signals 1920x1080p can be transmitted without any image degradation.
Deep Colour
The SA-BX500's HDMI terminal is Deep Colour compatible. While the earlier HDMI™ V.1.2 offers 8-bit, 256-step gradation, HDMI™ V.1.3 bumps it all the way up to 12-bit, 4,096-step gradation.
x.v. Colour
The SA-BX500 can transfer x.v.Colour signal, which features a colour expression range that is about 1.2 times the conventional RGB colour range. When connected to a TV that supports x.v.Colour, colours are more naturally and with enhanced depth.This function is effective only when reproducing AVCHD data recorded with x.v.Colour technology. The function cannot be used with BD-ROM or DVD-ROM discs. HDMI connection is required.
