The SD10/TM10 features a high-power 16x optical zoom and Panasonic's Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which is essential for telephoto shooting. It significantly reduces the hand-shake that tends to show up when zooming, and gives you clear, sharp images always. The Active Mode also extends the hand-shake correction range, to ensure beautiful images by minimizing the kind of large hand-shake that often occurs when shooting on the move.
The iA function automatically activates convenient functions during shooting. These include the AF/AE Tracking, which keeps the subject in sharp focus and properly exposed even if it moves around to ensure continuously beautiful image quality. AF/AE Tracking allows the images with most suitable AF/AE (Auto Focus/Auto Exposure) settings by simply touching the selected subject on the screen. The iA function, including Face Detection, Advanced O.I.S., Intelligent Contrast Control and Intelligent Scene Selector, produces outstanding results under virtually all shooting conditions.
The SD10/TM10 is compatible with Panasonic's VIERA Link. Connect it to a VIERA TV via an HDMI mini cable, and operate the camcorder using the TV remote control. The VIERA Image Viewer function also lets you view recorded images on the VIERA TV by simply inserting the SDHC/SD Memory Card into the card slot on the TV. This allows instant playback of video clips recorded in the AVCHD format in full-HD quality. These functions add extra ease and convenience to the fun of viewing full-HD videos.
