Manual Mode
![]()

The new DMC-FX150(FX180) provides easy-to-use manual controls and a wealth of features that let users explore the creative side of photography. The DMC-FX150(FX180)'s easy-to-use Manual Mode lets you choose a particular shutter speed, giving you the freedom to render artistic images of ordinary scenes – flowing streams, moving cars and people walking past – by capturing the "traces" left by moving objects. Simply set the desired shutter speed while using the Manual Exposure Assist function to check the exposure. You can also set the aperture at 2 steps.

Manual Exposure Assist
![]()

Manual Exposure Assist function shows how much your setting differs from the setting the camera considers optimal. This serves as a convenient guide for anyone using the Manual Mode.
ISO Auto Setting in Manual Exposure Mode
![]()

In Manual Exposure Mode, you can either select ISO Auto or make settings from ISO 100 to ISO 1600. With ISO Auto, once you set the aperture and shutter speed, the camera automatically judges the ISO sensitivity and maintains the appropriate exposure. For example, you have to use a fast shutter speed to capture moving subjects, while closing down the aperture enough to extend the depth of field for focusing ease. With this kind of shot, you can set the shutter speed and aperture manually, and then leave the exposure up to ISO Auto.
2.7-inch 230,000-dot High-resolution Intelligent LCD
with Wide-viewing Angle
![]()
The new LCD makes it more fun to take photos. The DMC-FX150(FX180)'s large 2.7-inch LCD features a high 230,000-dot resolution, and a wide viewing angle that lets you frame your shot in a variety of ways for both shooting and viewing. LUMIX's acclaimed Intelligent LCD function also automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions. This LCD provides sharp, clear images in virtually all shooting situations, ranging from nighttime to bright daylight scenes and from low-angle to high-angle shooting. And it lets you share the fun of viewing images with family and friends.
Intelligent LCD

![]()

The DMC-FX150(FX180) features the Intelligent LCD function. Under bright sunlight, the Auto Power LCD function increases the backlight brightness in 9 steps according to the ambient light intensity. In dimly lit locations, it adjusts the frame rate of live images in 2 steps according to the ambient darkness. At the highest of these 11 steps, the LCD backlight becomes approx. 1.4 times brighter than normal. This makes both shooting and viewing photos easier and more convenient.
Multi Exposure
![]()

The Multi Exposure function lets you take up to three exposures in a single frame. For example, you can layer subjects that wouldn't ordinarily appear in the same frame by making one of them translucent and super-imposing the other for an artistic effect, or make one subject appear two or three times in the same frame. By shooting from two opposite directions, you can create a symmetrical mirror effect. The LUMIX DMC-FX150(FX180) allows you to shoot while checking the image. After you‘ve taken the first shot, it appears with a translucent effect, so you can use it to set up your second shot. The same for the third shot. The camera also automatically adjusts the gain to optimize the exposure.
Scene Mode

The Scene Mode function lets the camera make the optimal settings for you automatically, so anybody can take superb photos with ease. The versatile Scene Mode range, which handles just about any situation and subject type, is a major LUMIX feature. And to make it even simpler to use, the icons and display are designed for easy visibility.

Pin Hole Mode /
Film Grain Mode
![]()
Get shots that look like you used a pinhole camera and monochrome high-sensitivity film. These modes give you the same kind of artistic expression as you would get with special shooting techniques.

Transform Mode
![]()
The Transform Mode lets you adjust the image from wide to slim in 5 steps. For example, you can make a tall tree look even taller, or get a more dynamic view of a large building. You can see the actual effect on the LCD while shooting, so you don't need to worry about shooting or framing mistakes.

![]()
