The DMC-LX5 is a system camera with a wide variety of options to choose from to match your shooting situations and style, including External Viewfinders, External Flashes, Wide Conversion Lens, ND Filter, PL Filter and fast-draw Leather Carrying Case. These accessories let you further improve the DMC-LX5's mobility, while upgrading the system to ensure you don't miss those once-in-a-lifetime shooting opportunities.
The DMW-LVF1, 202,000-dot equivalent optional Live View Finder (LVF), features a magnification of approximately 0.52x*2 and 100% field of view. Because it displays the same information as the LCD, it is effectively used in situations where the LCD is difficult to see, such as under bright sunlight. The LVF is also handy for low-angle shots because it can be tilted vertically from 0 to 90 degrees.

The External Optical Viewfinder mounts to the camera's hot shoe, and features a bright frame with an aspect ratio of 3:2 (horizontal:vertical), equal to 24mm (35mm camera equivalent). The viewfinder is equipped with a correction mark for shooting at a distance of 50cm. Its clear view is achieved by the use of advanced optical design, making it an ideal accessory for taking snapshots. Made of high-quality aluminum.

The ND Filter lets you use a slow shutter speed even in bright outdoor scenes, and reduces the light intensity when you want to use a fully open aperture. It is handy, for example, for capturing the flow of a waterfall or using a slow shutter speed under strong sunlight.

This circular PL Filter has a thin design that is ideal for wide-angle digital camera lenses. Designed to prevent vignetting even at a 24mm*2 angle of view, the PL Filter eliminates glare to capture the vivid blues of skies and fresh greens of trees, as well as removing reflections when shooting through glass.

The DMW-FL220 is a compact and lightweight external flash with TTL automatic light adjustment. It emits light at an intensity of up to GN22, and covers 24mm wide angle of view (35mm camera equivalent). Good for the scenes when the light intensity of the built-in flash is insufficient*. Operation synchronizes with the flash control of the camera including red-eye reduction, slow sync. and 2nd-curtain sync.
* Flash ability varies depending on shooting distance.
TTL metering
Features a medium intensity flash with automatic light adjustment. The wide panel covers 16mm wide angle of view (35mm camera equivalent). Bounce photography is also possible, as you can rotate the light-emitting face 97° vertically and 270° horizontally. An FP TTL AUTO mode that repeatedly emits high-speed FP flashes makes it possible to use the flash even at fast shutter speeds. You can also set the camera to take a variety of flash shots, such as red-eye reduction, slow sync. and 2nd-curtain sync.
