Connect to a TV with an HDMI cable*3 to view your memories on a large screen.


Internal clock of the camera is automatically adjusted to the local time of the place where the camera is, so you do not have to set the clock manually whether you go abroad or come back home.

Easy Manual Operation – A/S/M Mode
The DMC-ZS7(TZ10) provides easy-to-use manual controls. Using the Aperture-priority, which creates a soft-focused background effect or the Shutter-priority that, for example, produces a dynamic rendering of streaming water, you can explore your own creative expression at will. Manual operation requires only 3 simple steps: set the Mode Dial to the A/S/M Mode position, select the mode you want, then use the Exposure button to make any necessary adjustments.

You can set both the aperture and shutter speed, to take beautiful, artistic photos. In this mode, the Manual Exposure Assist function shows how much your setting differs from the setting the camera considers optimal. This serves as a convenient guide for anyone using the Manual Exposure Mode.

Adjust the shutter speed from 60 to 1/2,000 of a second. Fast shutter speeds can be used to freeze moving subjects, and slow shutter speeds can create a motion blur that exaggerates the feeling of movement.

In addition, the AR (anti-reflective) coating LCD minimizes glare and provides clear images, for high visibility even in outdoor brightness. The DMC-ZS7(TZ10), a hybrid still/motion image model, includes numerous Scene Modes for taking movies. Switching from still-image to movie shooting is seamless because the optimal Movie Scene Mode is automatically selected. The versatile Scene Mode range is a unique LUMIX feature that handles just about any situation and subject type. By simply selecting a Scene Mode, the camera makes the optimal settings for you automatically, so anybody can take superb photos and movies with ease.

High Dynamic Mode
A new Scene Mode has been added that lets you take artistic photos. The High Dynamic Mode helps to capture a scene with moderate exposure even though the scene contains both bright and dark areas together. You can select any of 3 options, Standard, Art, or B/W, depending on the desired effect and personal taste to make the image look natural to artistic.

High-speed Burst Mode (Still Images)
The DMC-ZS7(TZ10) lets you choose the Speed Priority or Image Priority. In the Speed Priority Mode, it can fire off up to approximately 10 frames per second with 3-megapixel resolution, which is highly sufficient for photo prints. This is great for capturing fast-moving sports or racing scenes. You can take a series of shots, then choose the ones you like the best and delete the rest.
(Note that the focus and exposure are fixed at the first frame.)
* In 3-megapixel (4:3), 2.5-megapixel (3:2), 2-megapixel (16:9) recording. The consecutive shooting speed varies depending on the memory card. The number of recordable image depends on the memory card size, battery life, image size, and compression.

This is a handy function for aligning panorama photos using the included Software PHOTOfunSTUDIO. The afterimage of each previous shot is displayed so you can use it to precisely line up the second and third shots.
Macro Zoom

The DMC-ZS7(TZ10) lets you get as close as 3cm to your subject. In addition, when using the Macro Zoom function, you can pull subjects even closer than the closest point possible by using 3x digital zoom, and capture dramatic close-ups.
Slideshow with Music
The DMC-ZS7(TZ10) can play a slideshow with music. Choose from 4 types of music: Natural, Slow, Swing and Urban. Then, select the transition effect to match your music. You can also use the optional RP-CDHM15/CDHM30 mini HDMI cable to connect the camera to an HDTV for breathtaking, large-screen viewing*. For musical slideshows created with the included PHOTOfunSTUDIO, you can choose your favorite iTunes music file as background music and burn it onto a DVD disc as a MPEG2 file. It is also possible to upload the slideshow to YouTube™.

The Title Edit function in the playback mode lets you edit the titles of any photos you want. You can also enter your destination and travel date into the Travel Mode in advance, or enter the birth date and name of your subject in the Baby Mode or Pet Mode. The title, date of travel information, name, age based on the birth date, and date of shooting are displayed during playback, and can be printed on photos*.
* When date, name and title are stamped on a photo, the photo is automatically resized to 3-megapixel format, or the original size is maintained for photos smaller than 3-megapixel format. However, you can choose either to save or overwrite the original image.
PictBridge Compatible
– Direct Print Function
The PictBridge standard lets you print directly on a compatible digital printer. Print size, layout, date and other settings can be made with the camera. Of course, you can also make multiple prints of an image, or print only the ones that you have selected.
PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.1 HD Edition
The latest version of exciting software PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.1 HD Edition comes bundled with the DMC-ZS7(TZ10). With quick start-up and fast read-in of images, the PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.1 HD Edition makes it possible to sort and organize photos not only of those newly taken but also of those stored in your computer. The Face Recognition function that recognizes the faces in the image to automatically sort the photos by the registered faces without picking out each photo one by one when you only want images of a specific person. The geo-tagged photos and movies taken with the DMC-ZS7(TZ10) can be sorted by the places automatically. You can also enjoy slideshows with a variety of effects and use your iTunes music library as background music and burn it onto a DVD disc in MPEG2. Motion images can be uploaded directly to YouTube™ using the built-in YouTube uploader even in HD (High Definition) quality. It also lets you create a 360-degree rotation panorama file in MOV, which is especially easy if the Panorama Assist Mode in the camera is used. The software is of course compatible with the Windows 7.

Your frequent setting patterns can be memorized up to three and it can be instantly applied by simply selecting this function with the camera.

Frequently used functions can be quickly retrieved and easily switched by using the Q.MENU button. The function names are displayed in text form, making them easy for anyone to understand and use.
Clipboard


The Clipboard function is incredibly handy for the maps and time schedules that are so important when traveling. By snapping photos of them and adding them to the clipboard, you can retrieve them instantly with the Mode Dial. Because it takes a little time to retrieve images from an SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card, the images are stored in their own special folders in the Built-in Memory.

Built-in Memory 15MB
Take photos even when you don't have an SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card on hand. The built-in memory holds up to approx. 15MB of image data, which you can later copy to an SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card or computer. You can also copy images from a memory card or computer to the built-in memory, and view them on the LCD anytime you like.
