* Requires the optional RP-CDHM15/CDHM30 HDMI mini-cable. The output resolution of the DMC-G1 can be selected as 1080i or 480p (NTSC)/576p (PAL). Please confirm that the TV you are connecting to has a HDMI input terminal compatible with the selected signal.

Highlight Display

12/30 Multi Display / Calendar Display

When you press the Playback button the last image you shot appears on the LCD. You can then use the cursor control to select other images to view. Using the command dial, you can set the camera to display 12 images, 30 images or the Calendar at a time.

12/30 Multi Display / Calendar Display

Using the command dial you can enlarge the playback image to 2x, 4x, 8x or 16x its original size. You can also use the cursor button to select a particular part of the image that you want to enlarge. This gives you a good way to check image details, the focus, or a facial expression. Also, since you can change image pages while they are enlarged, it is a convenient way to confirm a number of photos that were shot using the same composition.

Rotate Display (Auto Angle Detection)*

This function detects and records whether the photo is being shot horizontally or vertically, then automatically rotates all vertically framed images during playback.

*The Rotate Display (Auto Angle Detection) function can be used only with the lenses which supports the direction detection function.

Aspect Conversion

You can convert an image with a 16:9 aspect ratio to 4:3 or 3:2.

Resizing

This function makes it easy to resize images (change the number of pixels). This is convenient when you want to post a photo on a website or blog, or attach it to an e-mail message. With the included PHOTOfunSTUDIO -viewer - 2.1E, you can adjust image quality and size even more precisely.

Trimming

The Trimming function makes it easy to trim off extraneous parts of an image along the edges. You can save the trimmed image separately from the original.

Convenient Printing Functions

Direct Print Function - PictBridge Compatible

The PictBridge standard lets you print directly on a compatible digital printer. Print size, layout, date and other settings can be made with the camera. Of course, you can also make multiple prints of an image, or print only the ones that you have selected.

DPOF Function

Use the DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) function to designate which photos you want to print and how many copies of each you want, and then you can print them easily on a DPOF-compatible printer. You can also have the date printed on the photos.

SILKYPIX® Developer Studio 3.0 SE

The DMC-G1 records original image data in RAW file format, which allows images to be developed according to your intention. A number of highly advanced functions can be applied to these RAW images by using the SILKYPIX® Developer Studio 3.0 SE software utility, with its unique combination of high resolution and extraordinary color separation performance.

PHOTOfunSTUDIO -viewer - 2.1E

PHOTOfunSTUDIO -viewer - 2.1E gives you a single interface to easily manage your growing photo collection, and editing functions to enhance your images.

USB 2.0 High-Speed

The DMC-G1 supports the USB 2.0 high-speed standard. In comparison with conventional full-speed data transfer at 12 Mbps, USB 2.0 high-speed transfers data at max.480 Mbps. This is a highly practical speed for sending high-volume image data from the camera to a PC for viewing or storage.
