The DMC-G1 has an HDMI output terminal that lets you view HD Photo images on any HDTV*. When the DMC-G1 is connected to a Panasonic VIERA that has VIERA Link capability via an optional HDMI mini-cable and the VIERA Link function is turned on from the DMC-G1 menu, the TV's remote control unit can be used to run slideshows**. Also, simply insert an SDHC/SD Memory Card*** containing the still images into a Panasonic VIERA or other HDTV equipped with an SDHC/SD card slot to view pictures of family and friends, or images of memorable moments.

* Requires the optional RP-CDHM15/CDHM30 HDMI mini-cable. The output resolution of the DMC-G1 can be selected as 1080i or 480p (NTSC)/576p (PAL). Please confirm that the TV you are connecting to has a HDMI input terminal compatible with the selected signal.
** Depending on the cable used, this function may not be possible. Panasonic HDMI cables are highly recommended.
*** The SDHC Memory Card can be used only if the SDHC logo is indicated on the equipment or in the operation manual. It cannot be used with equipment that supports only the SD Memory Card.

When you press the Playback button the last image you shot appears on the LCD. You can then use the cursor control to select other images to view. Using the command dial, you can set the camera to display 12 images, 30 images or the Calendar at a time.
Using the command dial you can enlarge the playback image to 2x, 4x, 8x or 16x its original size. You can also use the cursor button to select a particular part of the image that you want to enlarge. This gives you a good way to check image details, the focus, or a facial expression. Also, since you can change image pages while they are enlarged, it is a convenient way to confirm a number of photos that were shot using the same composition.
This function detects and records whether the photo is being shot horizontally or vertically, then automatically rotates all vertically framed images during playback.
*The Rotate Display (Auto Angle Detection) function can be used only with the lenses which supports the direction detection function.
You can convert an image with a 16:9 aspect ratio to 4:3 or 3:2.
This function makes it easy to resize images (change the number of pixels). This is convenient when you want to post a photo on a website or blog, or attach it to an e-mail message. With the included PHOTOfunSTUDIO -viewer - 2.1E, you can adjust image quality and size even more precisely.
The Trimming function makes it easy to trim off extraneous parts of an image along the edges. You can save the trimmed image separately from the original.

Treat yourself and friends to a slideshow of all the photos you shot. Images look clear and bright on the DMC-G1's high-quality LCD. Select 1, 2, 3 or 5 seconds or any desired time as the playback interval.
Direct Print Function - PictBridge Compatible
The PictBridge standard lets you print directly on a compatible digital printer. Print size, layout, date and other settings can be made with the camera. Of course, you can also make multiple prints of an image, or print only the ones that you have selected.
DPOF Function
Use the DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) function to designate which photos you want to print and how many copies of each you want, and then you can print them easily on a DPOF-compatible printer. You can also have the date printed on the photos.
