The CF-C1 was also designed to be used while standing during presentations and checking inventory in stores, etc. That's why it adopts a Hand-Free Ergonomic Strap.

This strap is wider in the middle and uses a urethane material which provides elasticity as well as a comfortable fit that is not too tight. In addition, the bottom of the PC is designed with a dome so the palm fits naturally snugly against this dome enabling a secure grip on the PC from the bottom. If you slightly bend your fingers, the palm of your hand naturally forms a cup. The dome on the bottom of the PC was designed with this hand movement in mind. These innovative designs enable the PC to be held for long periods without fatigue.

Multi touch sensor and stylus pen sensor both built in. Select the input method for your purpose.

The touchscreen of the CF-C1 provides two input methods. One is the capacitive multi touch sensor and the other one is the surface capacitance stylus pen sensor (digitizer).

The capacitive multi touch sensor responds quickly and can be operated with the fingers, therefore, other tools are not required. Since the screen can detect the movement of two fingers, enlarging and shrinking images can be carried out intuitively.

On the other hand, the surface capacitance stylus pen sensor is more suited for detailed operations. The electronic stylus pen can be detected by the sensor when it is brought near the screen. Therefore, hovering where the cursor moves with a floating pen above the screen is possible. This means fine and accurate operations are now possible because you can place the cursor over small icons or specific cells in dense tables as you would with a mouse. Either the intuitive finger movement or stylus pen sensor can be conveniently selected according to usage.

Another benefit of the surface capacitance stylus pen sensor is the convenience when writing an electronic signature. Usually, for regular capacitive multi touch sensors, if another part of the hand or fingers touches the screen, the cursor will erratically jump to the point of contact. If you try to sign your signature without having your hand touch the screen, you have to hold your hand awkwardly above the screen, which affects the look of your writing.

However, this is not a problem in the CF-C1. When the surface capacitance stylus pen sensor detects the pen, the capacitive multi touch sensor is automatically disabled, and as a result, signing your signature with part of your hand touching the screen is possible.

Strong voice recognition capabilities with built-in array microphones.

A microphone array is an arrangement of multiple microphones. The signals from an array can be electronically optimized to improve sensitivity and directionality. An array of two microphones is installed in the lower LCD frame of the CF-C1. Using beam-forming technology, it is possible to cut noise surrounding the target sound so only the voice speaking directly in front of the computer is captured. This means your voice is clearer in computer telephony and e-meetings. The accuracy of the voice recognition is improved due to the removal of noise, and as a result, this sound focus also pays off when using voice recognition applications or voice input for medical records.

The beam-forming function enables sound to be picked up by the left and right microphones in the array so only sound from the front of the PC is captured. The voice speaking directly in front of the microphones is picked up by either microphone with the same volume. This sound remains after filtering and is recognized by the computer. Since words spoken on either side and other ambient noise are picked up with a different volume by either microphone, they are filtered and cut from voice recognition input.

Backlight tablet buttons enable fast and easy screen operation even if one cannot use a keyboard and even if the lighting is poor.

Those who select convertible PCs often have to use PCs in tablet mode as well. However, operations that are assigned to function keys on the keyboard such as LCD brightness adjustment and speaker volume are not easy to use in tablet mode on ordinary computers.

To make the CF-C1 even easier to use in tablet mode, tablet buttons for these operations are located on the LCD frame itself.

You can use these buttons to adjust screen brightness and call up the touchscreen keyboard as well as to change the screen from horizontal to vertical. So it is much easier to view vertical images. We can set the rightmost ‘User button’ for easier calling application named ‘Dashboard’ which helps the users much more convenient to set some functions like volume adjustment and opening the pen operation setting screen, and other mostly used operations. Not only Dashboard, you can pre-set other application software through that user button as well. Furthermore, three out of the six buttons are user programmable buttons. If you assign frequently used functions to these buttons, access to these operations becomes much faster.

Another great feature is the tablet button backlight. This is a great benefit in clinical settings such as making night rounds. Here, without switching on the lights in a room, you can operate the PC using the backlight only.
