Sometimes you want to show two images together -- like the external appearance and the drawings of a machine, a painting together with another art object from the same period, or a PowerPoint presentation and a moving picture that shows it in motion. This can often make it easier to understand the lecture. However, school budgets often allow only one projector per class.

The PT-FW300NT/FW300, PT-DZ570/DW530 and PT-DZ6710/DZ6700/DW6300S feature
Side-by-Side function, which splits the screen left and right for a 2 window display of a PC image and a DVD image, two PC images, and a variety of other combinations.
Additionally, the Picture in Picture function on 3-chip DLP™ models lets you freely change the display size and the positions of the main and sub windows, for flexible 2-screen applications.*
* The picture in picture function cannot be used with some input signals and selected inputs.

The Side-by-Side function (PT-FW430/FX400,
PT-DZ570/DW530 and PT-DZ6710/DZ6700/DW6300S)
takes full advantage of the wide-aspect screen.
