Recent advances in camera equipment have changed usage styles and allowed higher-quality images to be captured.

When users are able to easily record images with high-quality (large-volume) data, the number of times the data is rewritten to the SD card increases.
When selecting an SD card, the card's capacity is naturally an important factor, but the number of write cycles is also essential.
As the number of rewrites increases, the length of lifetime that data is saved decreases. This kind of use calls for Panasonic's SD cards with MLC flash memory. Compared with TLC (Triple-Level Cell) flash memory, MLC flash memory can be rewritten up to 10 times as much. That means they last 10 times as long.

Smart data writing technology equalizes rewrite frequency on each writing block in order to reduce defect risks. Without smart data writing, data will be repeatedly rewritten in specific areas, thereby damaging those areas. Thanks to Smart Data Writing carried out by the Intelligent Controller, Panasonic SD cards minimize defect risks and provide high reliability.
*This function does not guarantee permanent data retention.
