'eco ideas' for Products

See how far you can reduce CO2 emissions using our energy-efficient products and the technology that supports them. Here we present Panasonic's initiatives in “Energy-Saving“, “Energy-Creating” and “Energy-Storing” that help households, towns and society.

Energy-efficient Products

Reductions in CO2 emissions with the use of energy saving products are introduced based on a comparison with products as of 2000. The actual reduction in emissions achieved is represented by the sizes of balloons in an easy-to-understand manner. You can also experience for yourself the high-performance vacuum insulation “U-Vacua”, which is used in new refrigerators, and the mechanism of “the heat pump”, which is used in washing machines, air conditioners, and water heaters.

Community and Society

In addition to the in-car ETC system, Panasonic is also developing infrastructure such as the ETC gate in collaboration with the Japanese government. ETC allows you to pass through the toll gate without stopping the vehicle. For this reason, ETC significantly contributes to reduced CO2 emissions. Moreover, typical energy saving and energy creating products developed in cities and society in general are introduced, such as the environment-awareness type lighting fixture, “W Eco”, and “KAZE KAMOME”, which generates power from solar light and wind power.
