You will see many eco ideas designed to reduce CO2 emissions throughout our overall manufacturing process, which includes production, transportation and recycling.
Panasonic plans to reduce CO2 emissions in its global production activities by 300,000 tons in three years from 2006 to 2009.
The Group has also set a goal to reduce CO2 emissions to the 2000 level by 2010.
Located in Hyogo, the Panasonic Eco Technology Center recycles used home appliances and sends them back to the market in compliance with the Home Appliance Recycling Law.

We have been actively committed to a shift towards rail transport, which can reduce CO2 emissions to nearly one eighth in comparison with transportation using trucks. You can also see on screen the eco ideas that interest you, choosing from a range of manufacturing commitments.
Before remodeling, this second floor of the Panasonic Center Tokyo consumed nearly 16 kilowatts of electricity for lighting.
The remodeling in 2007 introduced ceramic metal, palook balls and other lighting apparatus with greater efficiency.
As a result, electricity consumption has dropped to nearly 7 kilowatts whilst maintaining the same brightness levels as before.
The terrace of Cafe E-FEEL is well exposed to sunshine during the day. A photo-sensor turns the lights on only when it gets dark.
