The Design Company is challenged with creating "innovative designs" for all Panasonic products from a global viewpoint under the two business visions of the Panasonic Group, which is to "realize a ubiquitous network society" and "co-existing with the global environment". With observing the lifestyles of our customers all over the world, we are realizing eco and universal design that is innovative and one step ahead while delivering security, safety and reliability. As well as designing individual products, we will propose new lifestyles by seeing various life scenes in total under the theme of linking our digital AV products with each other with TV at the core and our lifestyle related products with each other.

We are pursuing to create innovative design in the pursuit of creating products that is beautiful, easy to use and will be used for years on end. At the same time we develop designs that show both consistency and unity for our AVC Network products and Home Appliance products.
Along with design development for system products that is represented by broadcast equipments, we have also developed Robotic Suit for Upper-limb Rehabilitation (prototype) .
We are pursuing a package design that will directly convey the product features and appeal such as VIERA Link’s operation panel design and a Graphic User Interface (GUI) where more people can easily use the most advanced technology, to the consumer.
Starting with research for eco-design that is environmentally friendly, we are also researching universal design for not only those who are physically challenged but for everyone, and the know-how of various design.
From NC modeling to hand process finishes, we are pursuing to create high quality models as well as improving our design quality by having various simulations and virtual model investigations using digital 3D modeling techniques.
