Panasonic Europe held its Eco Stakeholder Roundtable in Hamburg, Germany, on February 21, 2012. This was held in conjunction with Panasonic Convention, at which the new product releases for the European market are presented to customers and editors.
The round table is a forum for discussing how Panasonic, in its effort to become the No.1 Green Innovation Company in the electronics industry in 2018, can contribute to the transformation of energy systems and how it can make proposals for a sustainable society by a coordinated body of stakeholders. This round table is part of regular panel discussions with our stakeholders.
This round table brought together government officials, a representative of a consumer organization and an environmental NGO, to talk with Mr. Abadie, Panasonic’s European/CIS President and CEO, Mr. Graf, Managing Director of Panasonic Germany and Markus Reichling, General Manager of Panasonic Europe’s Environmental Affairs group.
The invited stakeholders fully approved of Panasonic’s ongoing shift from being primarily a consumer electronics company to a green solutions provider. Furthermore, all participants agreed that, given the necessity of converting to sustainable, renewable energy, we need to broadcast our vision in a simple, clear message, and seek the approval of all our stakeholders.
To deepen the relationship with the attendees of the round table, we will continue the initiated communication on individual basis.
