For the installation of this HIT^® Double Facade, SANYO developed a unique construction method using HIT^® Double bifacial photovoltaic modules as part of external walls. The HIT^® Double photovoltaic modules take in not only direct rays from the front surface but also scattered rays from the rear surface. By allowing surplus air from air conditioners to cool the rear side of the modules, high conversion efficiency can be maintained even in the heat of the summer. Since the modules are used as part of the wall, they can also provide shading effects.
While avoiding making it too imposing for those inside, we focused on maximizing its energy efficiency and effectively bringing out the aesthetic beauty of photovoltaic modules.
