We aim to achieve zero waste emissions that oblige us to attain a greater than 99% recycling rate, as a part of our efforts to reduce the mass of final disposal to close to zero through recycling.
Definition of the zero emission
A recycling rate of at least 99 % since fiscal 2006
(at least 98 % up to fiscal 2005)
Recycling rate = Mass of recycled resource
Mass of recycled resource + mass of final disposal
Changes in the number of business sites that achieved zero emissions (Japan)
- * In fiscal 2006, the definition of zero emissions was changed from achieving a 98% recycling rate to achieving a 99% recycling rate.
