Panasonic HA Thailand wins “Energy Award”

President Suzuki receiving the award from Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva

Panasonic HA Thailand (PHAT) has won an “Energy Award”, an award presented by the Thai government to business entities and individuals with outstanding initiatives in the fields of energy conservation and use of alternative energy. President Suzuki of PHAT attended the awards ceremony held in a governmental facility in Bangkok on August 30 and received the award from Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

Aiming to promote energy conservation and alternative energy resources, the “Energy Awards” program has been organized and held by the Ministry of Energy of Thailand since 2000.

The awards are classified into five categories including “Alternative Energy”, “Energy Conservation Promotion (Buildings/Factories)”, and “Private Entrepreneur,” and are the most prestigious in Thailand with respect to environment-related awards.

PHAT was awarded in the “Energy Conservation Promotion (Factories)” category in high recognition of initiatives towards factory on-site energy conservation such as effective use of fuel, energy loss prevention, effective use of electricity during peak hours, and recycling of waste energy. PHAT will continue to promote its activities for energy conservation.
