Images from my Network Camera do not appear on my web page. [Setup: FTP_Transfer]

Answer... Reason-A
Images may not be uploading properly due to a discrepancy in the transferring mode of the FTP server and of the Network Camera. There are two possible transfer modes (passive and active), and if the server and the Network Camera are not set to the same mode, FTP transfers will not be completed properly.

Solution-A
Please confirm with your ISP the transfer mode required for FTP. Set the Network Camera to either active or passive mode accordingly. Note that if you are using a firmware version older than 1.50, you must first update your firmware before you can change the FTP transfer mode of the Network Camera. The latest firmware can be downloaded here.

If your Network Camera has firmware version 1.50 or later, follow the instructions below to change the transfer mode.
  1. Type http://IPaddress or the camera's URL followed by: Port Number/config.html in your web browser and press [Enter]. (If the port no. is 80 (default), you do not need to enter the port number.) The Network Camera's Top Page will appear.

  2. Click "Setup Page".

  3. On the setup page, click "Image Transfer".

  4. Click on "Alarm" or "Timer" in Image Transfer window.

  5. At [5. Transfer Method], set [Data transfer method] to [Passive mode] or [Active mode].

Reason-B
Either the directory name/file name which was set under [Upload file name] at [5. Transfer Method] in the Image Transfer window may not be correct, or [Over write setting] at [5. Transfer Method] may be set to [Add time stamp to Upload File Name].

Solution-B
First, confirm that the directory name which was set under [Upload file name] at [5. Transfer Method] is entered correctly. If the directory name set here does not match an existing directory on your web server, the images will not be uploaded. Also make sure that the file name set here matches the file set to be displayed by your web page. Note that no file extension is necessary when entering the file name. The extension ".jpg" is automatically added to the file name when uploaded.

Also, certain characters cannot be used in directory or file names. [Space], ["], ['], [#], [&], [%], [=], [+], [?], [‹], [›] and [:] are not available for use.

If this information is entered correctly, the problem may a space limitation set by your internet service provider (ISP).

When [Over write setting] is set to [Add time stamp to Upload File Name], uploaded images are not replaced by new ones and therefore images accumulate in the upload directory. As more and more images are uploaded, space available for FTP storage may eventually run out, due to the space limitations imposed by your ISP.

If the available space for FTP storage is completely filled, new images cannot be uploaded and therefore will not be displayed on your web page.

To resolve this problem:
-Delete the existing data in the FTP directory on the server.
-Change the setting of [Over write setting] to [Over Write to Fixed Upload File Name].
