Supporting the International TAPA FSR (Freight Security Requirement) Standards for Storing and Handling Freight

i-pro series network camera (DG-NP244) monitoring a vehicle coupling berth Nan-Oh Co., Ltd. is a general distribution solutions enterprise operating throughout the whole of Japan mainly as a delivery agent for department stores. A surveillance camera system has always been an indispensable item for a company involved in handling expensive products on behalf of the major department stores spread throughout the nation, but Nan-Oh initiated an investigation into the most suitable security system that was both impenetrable and in keeping with the times. They installed a network surveillance system centred on Panasonic's i-pro series in December 2006. This up-to-date security system, which uses an IP for transmission purposes, has greatly contributed to the promotion of maintenance-free, and safe business operation.

System Outline

This camera system uses eighty DG-NP244 i-pro series network cameras installed throughout all facilities, including the freight yard (area for accepting and loading freight) that is always busy with people and vehicles, the entire dock area, and on the external walls of warehouses, etc. The images recorded with these cameras are transmitted via an IP to DG-ND300A/4 i-pro series network disc recorders. WV-CF224 color dome cameras are also installed inside the ten lifts. The images are used by the security control room to provide constant surveillance and monitor all offices 24-hours a day 365 days a year, and this has not only reinforced security throughout the entire facility, it has also improved operation efficiency.
